Non confondere reCAPTCHA con Really Simple CAPTCHA che era usato nelle versioni prima di 4.3, un plugin gratis per wordpress creato da Takayuki Miyoshi. reCAPTCHA invece è un servizio gratuito di Google, e quindi i vantaggi sono colossali.
Per iniziare a usare reCHAPTCHA, hai bisogno prima di tutto di un account google. Dopo di che devi registrare il tuo sito sull’area admin reCAPTCHA.
- vai su reCAPTCHA pagina admin
- Registra il tuo sito.
- Ottieni una chiave del sito e una chiave segreta.
Copia le 2 chiavi del sito registrato, nella dashboard di WordPress.
- Vai su Contact > Integration.
- Trova il pannello reCAPTCHA e clicca su Configure Keys.
- Incolla le 2 chiavi nelle aree corrispondenti e salva tutto.
Finalmente, inserisci il codice del widget reCAPTCHA ([recaptcha]) nel contenuto del tuo form.

Don’t confuse reCAPTCHA with Really Simple CAPTCHA, which was the default CAPTCHA solution prior to 4.3. Really Simple CAPTCHA is a WordPress free WordPress plugin. reCAPTCHA is Google’s service, and has tremendous advantages over Really Simple CAPTCHA.
To get started with reCAPTCHA, you need a Google account and to register your site for an API key pair.
- Go to Google’s reCAPTCHA admin page.
- Register your site.
- Get a site key and secret key.
Copy the key pair into the WordPress admin screen of the site you registered.
- Go to the admin menu Contact > Integration.
- Find reCAPTCHA panel and click Configure Keys.
- Copy the site key and secret key into the fields and save them.
Lastly, put a placeholder for a reCAPTCHA widget ([recaptcha]) into your contact form content.
